§ Mr. RoweTo ask the Secretary of State for Education and Employment what assessment she has made of the relationship between the number of places for educating musicians in the United Kingdom and the job opportunities for musicians; and what plans she has to review the present position. [21115]

It is for individual universities and colleges to determine the allocation of places by subject in the light of demand from suitably qualified applicants, who in turn may be influenced by job opportunities.
