To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what performance targets have been set for the Land Registers of Northern Ireland in 1997–98. [21649]

For 1997–98, the following performance targets have been set for LRNI:

  1. Output
  2. 1. To process 16.8 Land Registry registrations per member of staff per month.
  3. 2. To process 262.5 Registry of Deeds registrations per member of staff per month.
  4. 3. To process 48 Statutory Charges Registry registrations per member of staff per month.
  5. 4. To process 90.75 application units per member of staff per month.
  6. Efficiency
  7. 5. To process regular Land Registry dealings in an average of 20 days.

  8. 6. To process regular Register of Deeds dealings in an average of three days.
  9. 7. To process regular Statutory Charges Registry dealings in an average of 15 days.
  10. 8. To process pre-completion land information applications in an average of eight days.
  11. 9. To achieve a unit cost of £46.24 for registrations.
  12. 10. To achieve a unit cost of £5.64 for land information services.
  13. 11. To achieve a combined weighted unit cost target of £26,68.
  14. Financial
  15. 12. To cover Agency Costs out of fee income.
  16. 13. To increase overall productivity by at least 3 per cent.
  17. Quality
  18. 14. To achieve a customer complaint ratio of more than 1.5 per cent.
  19. 15. To achieve a registration accuracy rate of at least 98.5 per cent.
