HC Deb 20 March 1997 vol 292 c913W
Mr. Gunnell

To ask the Secretary of State for Social Security what plans there are for the feasibility study being conducted by the Contributions Agency into the formation of a national inquiry centre to include consideration of(a) research, (b) policy, (c) other pro-active work and (d) the processing of telephone inquiries; and if he will make a statement. [21188]

Mr. Heald

The Contributions Agency is currently examining the work that might be included in an inquiry centre. This includes unsolicited telephone calls and correspondence. No decision has yet been made about the scope of the inquiry centre.
