§ Mrs. GillanThe average age of new entrants and the average age of all teachers in the maintained nursery, primary, secondary and special sector is as follows. The youngest age at which a teacher may be granted premature retirement is 50, and the oldest 64, and those are the ages of the youngest and oldest teachers granted premature retirement in the two years in question. The Department does not collect information on voluntary redundancies.
