HC Deb 17 March 1997 vol 292 c476W
Dr. David Clark

To ask the Secretary of State for Health what is the recommended interval between each injection in a course of anti-anthrax vaccination. [20449]

Mr. Horam

This information is contained in the book "Immunisation Against Infectious Diseases" issued by the Health Departments, which was issued to all practising clinicians and copies of which are available in the Library. The information is also routinely included in the insert included in every pack of vaccine.

Four injections of 0.5 ml is recommended. There should be an interval of three weeks between the first three injections, and six months between the third and fourth. Subsequent reinforcing doses of 0.5 ml are recommended at annual intervals.
