To ask the Secretary of State for Defence if he will list the numbers and type of medals and campaign stars awarded to date to national service men who served between(a) 1939 and 1945 and (b) 1946 and 1963; and if he will make a statement. [3749]

A list of the medals and campaign stars for which National Servicemen were eligible is as shown. In addition, they were eligible to be recommended for the full range of gallantry awards. No differentiation was made between National Servicemen and Regular personnel.
