§ Mr. MichaelWe plan to take early action to tackle drink-related crime including placing a new duty on local authorities and the police together to develop local community safety programmes. Our plans include introducing a tougher licensing regime, encouraging firmer measures to deal with offenders and promoting greater use of programmes aimed at preventing alcohol-related crime.
