To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what plans he has to introduce new controls on imported food. [7294]

I assume that this question refers to our proposals to extend existing UK rules on Specified Bovine Material (SBM) to bovine material that has been imported. SBM may not be used in human or animal food or in cosmetic, pharmaceutical or medical products. I refer the hon. Member to the answer given to my hon.
