To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what differences were established by the Advisory Committee on Novel Foods and Processes between oil from conventional cotton seed and that derived from the genetically modified cotton seed resistant to the herbicide bromoxynil; and if he will make a statement. After carefully considering all the data, the Advisory Committee on Novel Foods and Processes concluded that there was no difference between oil from the two sources.
