§ Lord CheshamThe United Kingdom shares embassy facilities and services in the following countries:
Kazakhstan: shared facilities and services with the Germans reception and waiting areas; cleaning and local watchmen
Iceland: shared facilities with the Germans; entrance; conference and interview rooms; garage and gardening costs
Belarus: shared facilities with the Italians: visa office; cleaning of common parts; receptionist and visa queue marshal
Zaire: limited shared facilities and services with the Dutch; costs shared pro-rata.
In addition, the UK has been working with EU partners on co-operation in medical matters overseas for some time. This includes extending the use of UK embassy clinics to EU diplomatic staff and families on a fee-paying basis in Moscow, Sofia, Warsaw, Abuja, Addis Ababa, Lagos, Lilongwe, Dhaka, New Delhi, Islamabad, Bucharest and Peking.
Since July 1993, any EU national may turn to another EU Mission or career consulate in countries where their own country has no resident representation.
