§ Mr. SoamesThe non-movers package was introduced by the Treasury as an aid to relocating key staff. The responsibility for determining relocation expenses was transferred to Government Departments in 1993. Under that delegation the MOD decided to make the non-movers package more widely available in order to assist those affected by the major relocations that have been taking place in the Department. We have no plans to make major changes to current arrangements.
