§ Ms Glenda JacksonThe number of people successfully prosecuted for Vehicle Excise Duty evasion since 1 January is 208,950. In addition, a further 246,188 who were reported because their vehicles were apparently untaxed paid out of court settlements in lieu of prosecution.
