§ Mr. MichaelThe Government have made it clear that once the complete ban on handguns has been achieved, we shall consider whether further steps are required to secure public safety. We will consult widely with all interested parties if further steps are considered necessary but we have no preconceived ideas on shotguns or any other specific firearms.
