To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what plans he has to meet representatives from the Surrey police and probation services to discuss proposed funding levels. [20195]

I wrote to the Chairman of Surrey Police Authority on 14 November 1997 offering to meet representatives to discuss proposed funding levels for 1998–99. We have had no similar request from Surrey Probation Service for a meeting.
