§ Mr. SpellarThe responsibility for finding alternative accommodation and contacting Local Authorities rests with the individual concerned. However, MOD are sensitive to the needs of the individuals and, where necessary, provide advice and assistance in liaison with Local Authorities and completion of the necessary paperwork. In addition, the Joint Service Housing Advice Office (JSHAO), a tri-Service organisation, provides housing advice on all aspects of housing needs including renting through the council to personnel from any of the three services and their dependants, and also separated partners who are occupying Service families accommodation.
