§ Mrs. Roche[holding answer 12 December 1997]: The DTI's own programme of millennium compliance projects is due to be completed by April 1999 and it incorporates activity to ensure that the supply of IT goods and services and other goods containing embedded integrated circuit chips to the Department and exchanges of computer data 123W between the Department and non-governmental organisations are also compliant. This work includes ensuring compliance where such services or exchanges are delivered through or supported by a non-governmental organisation's own IT systems.
