§ Mr. Jamieson
To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what estimate he has made of the impact on the date of implementation of a national register of paedophiles of the termination of the contract for transferring pre-1981 criminal records to the national computer's Phoenix database by the PCL group. [2421]

§ Mr. Maclean
The termination of this contract will not affect the implementation of the national register of paedophiles.

§ Mr. Jamieson
To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will make a statement on the award of a contract to implement a national register of paedophiles. [2422]

§ Mr. Maclean
The register will be held as part of the Phoenix database of the police national computer.
