To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland what proportion of oil and gas landed from the UK continental shelf comes under the jurisdiction of Scottish legal administration. [1531]

[holding answer 31 October 1996]: Contracts for the disposal of oil and gas once landed are generally subject to whatever civil law and jurisdiction procedures and purchasers choose to apply. The Government have no record of the choices made.
