§ Mr. Jack[pursuant to his reply, 17 April 1996, c. 498]: I regret that the list that I gave inadvertently omitted 15 compliance cost assessments produced by the Building Societies Commission and the Friendly Societies Commission, both of which are responsible to the Chancellor of the Exchequer. I apologise to the hon. Member for this oversight. The full list of 30 compliance cost assessments produced by the Chancellor's Departments in 1995 is given in the list. In each case, a copy of the assessment was placed in the Library at the time it was presented to Parliament.
