§ Mr. HoramThe Health Education Authority continually evaluates the effectiveness of the current national smoking education campaign. A new teenage smoking campaign, starting later this year, will also be carefully evaluated. Both campaigns contain elements which are targeted at young women.
§ Mr. CoxTo ask the Secretary of State for Health what was the financial cost incurred in 1995 by Her Majesty's Government in respect of campaigns on the dangers of smoking. [28974]
§ Mr. HoramIn the 1995–96 financial year, the Department provided £6.5 million for anti-smoking campaign activity in England. In addition, health authorities and trusts run local anti-smoking campaigns.
