§ Sir Cranley OnslowTo ask the Secretary of State for Wales what research he has evaluated about the danger of acidification of the head waters of Welsh rivers as a result of emissions from power stations in(a) Pembrokeshire and (b) elsewhere. [27919]
§ Mr. Gwilym JonesA report commissioned by the Welsh Office entitled "A Review of the Impact of Current and Future Acid Deposition in Wales" was completed in February 1993. I have arranged for a copy to be placed in the Library of the House. This review has led to a survey of acidification in rivers and lakes which is under way: it is planned to publish the results in 1997.
