§ Mr. EvansThe Social Security (Persons From Abroad) Miscellaneous Amendments Regulations 1996 came into force on 5 February 1996. The guidance does not specifically refer to children as the new arrangements do not affect social service departments' responsibilities under the Children Act 1989.
