To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what representations he has made to the Government of Burma about forced labour. [32355]

The United Kingdom has had no ministerial contact with the ruling military regime in Burma, the State Law and Order Restoration Council.

Officials have consistently expressed our concern about the use of forced labour in Burma, both in international forums and directly to the SLORC. We shall continue to do so.
