§ Mr. StreeterThere are proposals to provide new or improved facilities at 50 magistrates courts under the private finance initiative. In the Court Service, there are two major refurbishment schemes at early stages of planning which are possible candidates for PFI funding. They are the provision of a civil hearing centre in Bristol and the improvement of facilities at the Crown court at Knutsford.
