To ask the Secretary of State for National Heritage what action has been taken by the Radio Authority under section 86 of the Broadcasting Act 1990 to review the suitability of Bay Radio Ltd. to hold a licence to operate a radio station; and if she will make a statement. [38261]

[holding answer 22 July 1996]: The licensing of independent radio stations is for the Radio Authority. I understand that it has not at this stage undertaken a review of the suitability of Bay Radio Ltd. under section 86 of the Broadcasting Act 1990.
