§ Mr. George HowarthTo ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will list the dates in(a) 1993–94, (b) 1994–95, (c) 1995–96 and (d) 1996–97 on which visits to himself, his Ministers or officials within his Department were made by (i) advisers, consultants or academics from the United States of America, (ii) representatives of American federal or state prison services, (iii) representatives of American companies providing private prison or associated services and (iv) other Americans in connection with criminal justice policy; if he will list the names of those visitors, who they represented, and who they met; what was the purpose of each visit and the outcome of each meeting; and what was the cost to public funds of each visit.
