To ask the Secretary of State for Transport what recent representations he has received about the need to improve the transport infrastructure in the north-west. [34705]

We receive representations about improving transport infrastructure in the north-west, as we do from other parts of the country. My hon. Friend the Minister with responsibility for local transport chaired the regional annual consultative committee for the north-west in Chester earlier this year, at which he heard the local authorities' view on transport needs in their region.
