§ Mr. NorrisThe Government have no specific budget for the support of either guided buses or telematics for buses. Bids from local authorities for new or improved transport infrastructure are considered through the annual transport policies and programmes system, and good value projects are supported within the available resources. These projects may include facilities for guided buses and for the provision of information about bus services using telematics. The provision of facilities on vehicles themselves is a matter for the bus operators.
