Mr. William Ross

To ask the Secretary of State for Wales how many mobile telephones have been supplied to his Department in each of the last eight years; and in each of those years how many different suppliers were involved. [8040]

  • 1990–91: 27
  • 1991–92: 28
  • 1992–93: 40
  • 1993–94: 140
  • 1994–95: 148.

All purchases are subject to competition and at least three different companies are invited to tender.
