HC Deb 09 January 1996 vol 269 cc190-1W
Mr. Spearing

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what is the expected approximate length, in words and A4 pages, of the complete transcript of the re-opened inquest into the victims of the Marchioness disaster held in April 1995; and what plans he has for making it available to the relatives of the deceased and to other interested parties. [7121]

Mr. Sackville

I understand that the transcript is about 3,000 pages and approximately 900,000 words in length. The supply of such a document is entirely a matter for the coroner, in accordance with the Coroners Rules 1984.
