§ Mr. BowisAs part of the national health service research and development strategy there is a nationally funded programme of research on physical and complex disability managed by South and West region which includes a project to review current provision of environmental controls equipment. This is being conducted by the regional rehabilitation centre at South Birmingham community health trust. In addition, the Medical Devices Agency has recently published a comparative evaluation of environmental control systems. Copies of this evaluation will be placed in the Library.
