§ Mr. Jonathan EvansCredit approvals made available by the Department for capital expenditure on council housing can be supplemented by authorities' use of some capital receipts and revenue contributions. In addition, councils have some flexibility in the level of spending on revenue repairs within the housing revenue account. The following table, therefore, shows capital and revenue spending by Welsh councils in cash terms on modernisation and repair of council houses in 1992–93, 1993–94 and 1995–96.
