To ask the President of the Board of Trade if he will make a statement on his Department's draft Bill to reform competition law entitled "Tackling Cartels and the Abuse of Market Power", published on 8 August. [5806]

The Government are committed to reforming United Kingdom competition law. Working is continuing on developing the proposals set out in the draft Bill. We will be publishing a revised version of the Bill, taking into account the many high-quality comments we have received, in the new year.
