HC Deb 02 December 1996 vol 286 c469W
Mr. Corbyn

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what proposals he has to limit the time between recording a death and the holding of an inquest. [5206]

Mr. Sackville

None. I understand that coroners endeavour to hold inquests as soon as practicable following the death, but there are often factors outside the control of the coroner, which can affect the inquest date.
