To ask the President of the Board of Trade what recent discussions he has held with Amoco (UK) exploration company concerning the future decommissioning of the north-west Hutton installation; and when the company submitted an abandonment programme for the structure. [24368]

Neither my right hon. Friend the President of the Board of Trade nor any other DTI Minister has had discussions with Amoco about decommissioning the north-west Hutton installation. The owners of the installation have not yet been directed to submit a decommissioning programme.
