§ Mr. HanleyThis Department has put in hand a study to determine which, if any, of its computer systems will be affected by this problem. In addition, the Government Centre for Information Systems has initiated a programme of consultation and education in which we are participating.
The Overseas Development Administration is updating its computer systems, most of which already recognise the year 2000. In the process, adjustments are being to the two systems that require changes for the next year 2000. These adjustments will be completed within the next 18 months.
