HC Deb 31 October 1995 vol 265 cc185-6W
Mr. Redmond

To ask the Secretary of State for National Heritage if she will ask English Heritage to consider the preservation of the Elizabethan dove-cote on British Coal land in the parish of Barnburgh, Doncaster, in the county of South Yorkshire; and if she will make a statement. [39516]

Mr. Sproat

This dove-cote is, in fact, already listed at grade II. As such, any proposals which would affect its architectural or historic interest would require listed building consent. I understand that the development proposals for the adjoining land will not, in any case, affect the dove-cote and that the local planning authority is anxious to preserve its historic setting.
