§ Mr. NorrisWe are continually looking for ways to improve the efficiency of tests. For example, we believe the introduction of computerisation into the MOT scheme would increase compliance and improve testing standards, so we have recently appointed consultants to advise on the options for doing so. We are also allowing vehicle inspectorate examiners to test HGVs at vehicle operators' premises, provided they are suitably equipped.
