HC Deb 30 October 1995 vol 265 cc96-7W
Mr. Gordon Prentice

To ask the Secretary of State for Wales how many times in each month of the current year he has met personally the heads of the agencies which report to him to discuss the work of those agencies. [39866]

Mr. Hague

My predecessor met the chief executive of Cadw, Welsh Historic Monuments twice this year, once in January and once in May. Neither I nor my predecessor has met the chief executives of the Planning Inspectorate and ADAS executive agencies this year.

Mr. Redmond

To ask the Secretary of State for Wales if he will list by grade the numbers of staff and their costs for(a) the financial year 1994–95 and (b) the estimated figures for the financial year 1995–96, for each executive agency for which he is responsible. [39496]

Mr. Hague

For Cadw, Welsh Historic Monuments executive agency, responsibility for the subject of the question has been delegated to the chief executive, Mr. T. J. Cassidy. I have asked him to arrange for a reply to be given.

I also have shared responsibility for the Planning Inspectorate and ADAS agencies. My right hon. Friends the Secretary of State for the Environment and the Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food are arranging for replies to be given separately for these agencies.
