§ Mr. Ian TaylorA large number of submission were received in response to the consultative draft of legislation to implement this directive which was circulated to interested parties earlier this year. Consideration has now been given to the many points raised in these submissions, as a result of which we have concluded that a substantial number of changes to the proposed legislation are desirable. The draft is being revised, and regulation will be laid before both Houses as soon as possible.
