§ Mr. HoramSince we launched the national health service organ donor register in October 1994 over 2¼million people have applied to join, of which some 800,000 had joined when applying for a driving licence or registering with a general practitioner. We have been monitoring the effectiveness of the different ways used to encourage people to join and plan further publicity initiatives for early in the new year.
