To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland what was the proportionate value of the computer equipment transferred from Highland health board to the Computing Sciences Corporation Ltd. as part of the privatisation process earlier this year; and if he will make a statement. [308]

The proportionate value as at March 1995 of the equipment transferred from Highland health board to the Computing Sciences Corporation Ltd. was 5.5 per cent. of the total market value of the equipment transferred by the NHS in Scotland. This was based on an independent market evaluation.
