The Secretary of State has asked me to reply to your question about how many people are currently engaged in work with Remploy and the locations of the workforce in each case.677WA total of 10,929 people, of whom 9,357 were disabled workers, were engaged in work in Remploy at the end of October 1995. 8,682 (7,110 disabled workers) were working in 102 locations and these are listed in the attached table (Annex 1). The remaining 2,247 are Interworkers who are supported by Remploy in placements with host firms but not working on Remploy premises.
