HC Deb 28 November 1995 vol 267 c588W
Mr. Tipping

To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland what work the Forestry Commission has undertaken to classify its woodland according to level of recreational use; if he will publish the results of such work; if he will detail how recreational use has been assessed; if he will describe the purpose of the exercise; and if he will make a statement. [2424]

Mr. Kynoch

[holding answer 27 November 1995]: Following the forestry review, we asked the forestry Commission to strengthen the arrangements for protecting public access to woodlands which it sold. This included classifying the woodlands according to the level of existing public access. The new arrangements will be set out in revised access guidelines which will be published soon.
