Friend has approved the recommendation from Cumbernauld development corporation that, when compared to the costs of the refurbishment necessary to bring the homes up to standard, demolition of the three blocks of flats at Campsie View represents better value for money. Over the next few months, tenants will be rehoused and the corporation will repurchase the owner-occupied properties in the blocks.
