HL Deb 27 November 1995 vol 567 c24WA
Lord Lester of Herne Hill

asked the Chairman of Committees:

Whether the terms of the new supply and service agreement with HMSO will ensure the price paid by the public for public papers, including the daily Hansard, will be no greater than equivalent prices in other democracies, such as Australia, Canada, Germany, France, Ireland, Norway, South Africa and the USA.

The Chairman of Committees:

The new supply and service agreement is based on the commitment of the House of Lords and HMSO to the widest possible dissemination of parliamentary material consistent with value for money. Prices charged to the public will reflect that objective.
