Mr. Robert McCartney

To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland if he will specify where drug and alcohol abuse advice and counselling is presently carried out in the North Down and Ards Community Health trust: and what locations other than Bingham street, Bangor(a) have been and (b) are being considered for a drug and alcohol abuse advice centre. [69)

Mr. Moss

North Down and Ards Community HSS trust currently provides drug and alcohol addiction services from 52A Church street, Newtownards, Ards hospital, Bangor health centre, Donaghadee health centre and Portaferry health centre.

Premises at 10–14 Victoria road, Bangor, were considered, in addition to those in Bingham street, for a new home for the trust's addiction team.

North Down and Ards Community HSS trust is anxious to find suitable accommodation for this service but, to date, no final decision has been made.
