§ Sir George YoungThere were no formal votes at the 28 September Transport Council, but, as reported in my answer of 26 October to the hon. Member for Scarborough (Mr. Sykes), the UK and Germany opposed a scrapping scheme to reduce capacity in the inland waterways industry: other member states supported the measure.
I shall continue to list all formal votes, or the fact that no votes were taken, when reporting on future Transport Councils.
