§ Mr. NorrisWe take full account of advice from the Government offices for the regions on transport decisions relevant to them, for example on the allocation of516W transport resources for capital investment by local authorities. There are no plans further to devolve decisions to the regional offices.
Local authorities have a wide range of transport powers and responsibilities. They are responsible for taking their own decisions on transport spending priorities within the total resources available to them.
