HC Deb 25 May 1995 vol 260 c655W
Mr. Madden

To ask the Parliamentary Secretary, Lord Chancellor's Department, pursuant to his answer of 4 May,Official Report, column 259, concerning Mrs. Kuldip Kaur, what decision was taken by the regional adjudicator on whether her appeal may proceed out of time; and if he will make a statement. [25996]

Mr. John M. Taylor

I now understand that the Immigration Appellate Authority sent copies of the case papers to the former address of Mrs. Kaur's representatives. These were returned by the Post Office undelivered, and as Mrs. Kaur's representatives had not had an opportunity to submit their written observations, a decision was not taken by the adjudicator on 12 May.

The case papers have now been sent to Mrs. Kaur's representatives at their current address. I apologise for the delay to Mrs. Kaur's case and confirm that it is now due to be placed before the regional adjudicator on 23 June.
